A dairy-free chocolate peanut butter smoothie that tastes like a snickers bar! This healthy, vegan snickers shake is made only with whole food, good for you ingredients.

After making my banana ice cream sandwiches last month, I haven’t been able to get the idea of banana ice cream out of my head.

And when I start thinking about ice cream… I naturally turn to the idea of a milkshake.

Do you remember Snicker’s Ice Cream bars? Snicker’s ice cream bars remind me of summer afternoons at the pool with my sister as we raced down water slides and always split an ice cream bar afterwards. (Although, I think at this point I can admit that yes Liz, you did get the smaller half. #sorrynotsorry)

As kids, summer afternoons meant one thing- spending hours at the pool playing Marco Polo, trying new tricks off the high dive, and waiting what felt like hours in line to go down the slide.

Summer afternoons also meant my beloved Snicker’s Ice Cream bar. While my mom always insisted that we pack a lunch to the pool, if we were well behaved we were able to finish the day by picking an ice cream treat. Yeesss!

Which wasn’t a decision you made lightly. Fudgesicle? Ice Cream Sandwich? Snicker’s Bar? Clearly even then I was driven by chocolate.

A Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie that tastes like a Snickers Milkshake

My love for Snicker’s Ice Cream bars hasn’t lessened over time, but my knowledge of ‘good food’ certainty has. At the core of my beloved treat are simple ingredients: caramel swirl, peanut butter, ice cream, and of course, chocolate.

Combine my dreams of banana milkshakes with my nostalgia for Snicker’s bars and you’ve got yourself a challenge that I was more than happy to take on.

Vegan Snickers Milkshake

Dates are my go-to caramel for just about… everything. Which is kinda how this shake idea came about. A pitted date with a little peanut butter in the middle might just be the best afternoon pick-me-up I’ve ever invented. Out of sheer desperation, I added a few chocolate chips one day and… the bite size Snickers was born.

Put the dates in the blender with a little bit of milk and puree until they have become goeey, sticky caramel. Now, add the rest of the ingredients and blend until frosty and thick. That’s it! So creamy and delicious, it’s no wonder we make this chocolate peanut butter smoothie at least weekly,

I found your recipe looking for one I used to make, minor switch for cacao powder, no ice, just a little more banana, but the one thing I remember from the other recipe was dried mulberries! It gives a caramel flavor! Definitely recommend trying it ❤️

Delicious! I added some hemp, flax, and chia seeds for more plant points along with some acacia fiber and 2 small levees kale. You couldn’t even taste it! Great smoothie that’s filling and delicious!

Delicious! Very easy and it could be even more easy if we blend multiple batches of the solid ingredients and then freeze it for later like it was ice cream. Anytime I crave milkshake all I need is to just add milk and vanilla. Yum¹

Oh man, this thing could be dangerous for me. I was a major Snickers addict growing up.

I’m not sure I will ever want to eat anything again after I try this 🙂

OMG yummmmm. Dried figs and chocolate are my go to thing I accidently did out of … also desperation, haha. Dates are good too! I admit though, I’ve never eaten one not in a dish or smoothie before. I’ll have to definitely try out this shake!
