Creamy Acai Popsicles
If you love acai bowls, then you’ll love these creamy acai popsicles. They’re made with frozen acai puree, frozen blueberries, and a little Greek yogurt for extra protein and calcium.
My kids are big popsicle fans, and I love making them myself so I can control the ingredients – minimal added sugar, if added at all. Along with plenty of nutrient-rich items like acai and wild blueberries, two major antioxidant-rich superfoods.
If you can make a smoothie, then you can make these popsicles!

Acai Popsicle Ingredient Notes
- Acai Puree: I love the frozen acai packets from Sambazon, which you can find in most grocery stores. They come in both sweetened and unsweetened versions, and while I use both for my acai bowls, I prefer the unsweetened if you can find it.
- Wild Blueberries: Ever since visiting Maine a few years ago, I’ve been a big fan of frozen wild blueberries. They are one of the most antioxidant-rich fruits and delicious. My kids eat them straight from the bag frozen! You can also sub in frozen cherries, blackberries or regular blueberries.
- Greek yogurt: We don’t eat a ton of dairy, but I do prefer dairy Greek yogurt over non-dairy options as it’s easy to find an unsweetened option with at least 10 g of protein per serving. I don’t stress over protein, but it’s nice to add a few grams to these popsicles, especially if enjoyed as a snack on their own.
- Maple syrup or honey: Either one works—you can add as little or as much as you’d like. I found that a tablespoon of local honey was sweet enough for my kids.

Favorite Popsicle Molds
We make a lot of popsicles in my house—which means we have gathered quite a collection of popsicle molds!
I prefer silicone ones as they are much easier to remove than plastic ones. I also like flat molds with a built-in stand for easy filling.
- Stand-Up Molds: These stand-up molds are great, and I like that they are silicone for easy removal.
- Diamond Popsicle Molds: These diamond popsicle molds are the ones I’m using here. They lie flat for easy filling.
- Small Lie-Flat Molds: I like these smaller molds for my kids because they are smaller and easier to eat. They are also lie flat and can be stacked in the fridge for easy freezing.

Variations and Tips for Success
You can’t screw these up! If you are new to making acai bowls, then I like to let the acai puree sit out for a few minutes to thaw slightly before blending.
Any frozen fruit works for these Acai popsicles. As mentioned, any berry would be a good choice—strawberry, blueberry, blackberry, or even cherry.
I prefer to use frozen fruit in recipes where the texture of fresh doesn’t matter to keep costs down, but fresh fruit will also work.
Depending on the power of you blender (affiliate), you may need to stop and scrape down the sides a few times.
