Summer Beauty Favorites

By Alexandra Caspero on July 22, 2013

Now that summer is officially here, my beauty routine has changed as well. While I don’t wear a ton of makeup normally, summer means a quick swipe of bronzer, peachy-powder and mascara. I will never complain of a morning routine that takes less than 5 minutes!

I was talking to a client on my favorite beauty products and decided it would be fun to present a two part series on my favorite beauty products for summer.

Powder&Amp;Brushes

I’ve been a fan of EcoTools by Alicia SilverstoneIr?T=Deliciknowle 20&Amp;L=As2&Amp;O=1&Amp;A=B002N42Fhw brushes for a long time. While many makeup brushes are vegan, there are plenty out there that use squirrel, mink, sable, horse, or goat hair. These synthetic brushes are perfect for applying my favorite summer blush, Melba Powder by MAC. Ah! I love this stuff. Peachy and perfect rosy cheeks. Wear alone or over bronzer.

Conditioner

I found this little gem while we were traveling in London and I am so glad I picked it up! My hair is usually pretty dry, so I use a leave-in conditioner 3-4X a week, especially on days I wash my hair. I’ve also been trying to blow-dry my hair less, just doing a simple braid until dry. Ta-da! Instant beach waves. This LIC is also vegan & certified cruelty free; beauty without cruelty.

Hairtye

Have you seen these colorful elastics for sale? I first saw them last summer in a little boutique and loved them… until I realized that they were $10 for 4. Eh, no thanks. A quick google search proved that I could make them myself.

Search for fold-over elastic on Ebay. They have lots of different options, multiple colors, glitter options ect. I bought 18 yards of scraps for $12, which made about 50 hair ties, depending on how big you make them.

Then, simply cut, tie in a knot and there you have it. These are perfect for wet hair, dry hair, all hair because they don’t snag like other elastics.

What are your favorite summer beauty finds? Stay tuned for my part 2 coming next week!
